Our Story
Alex & Tom’s story is a classic:
- Boy Meets Girl: Tom & Alex met while working together as software developers in Albany, NY. Alex was instructed to share a file with Tom, who’s name she didn’t know. When asked about his name, Tom replied quietly. After three tries, Alex gave up and asked someone else for the elusive Thomas’s name.
- Boy Woos Girl: Once Tom began speaking at an audible decibel, he quickly wooed Alex with his enthralling stories and clever jokes. And a horse. The horse definitely helped.
- Boy Proposes to Girl: Tom proposed to Alex on December 18th, 2019 at one of their favorite restaurants, Osterio Danny (Saratoga Springs, NY). He kept the romance in Alex’s comfort zone by proposing on the way to the restroom.
Thomas Haley
Thomas lives in the basement in the couple’s shared dwelling in Saratoga. It has been theorized that he is occasionally allowed out to socialize. He likes to play board games and listen to history podcasts. The thing he most looks forward to in marriage is boring Alex with his musings and repetitive jokes.
Alex McGuire
Alex’s address on paper is the couple’s shared dwelling in Saratoga, but those who know her best would agree the majority of her time is spent with her other boyfriend, Saint (much to Saint’s chagrin). When not with the red-head, she enjoys wrangling her dogs and starting (but not finishing) endless craft projects.
Being married means finding that one special person that you want to annoy every day for the rest of your life.

Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved for guests at the Saratoga Hilton and the Hampton Inn & Suites, both located in downtown Saratoga. Rooms are available at $249/night (Saturday/Sunday).
Rooms in hotel blocks must be booked before September 9th.
Transportation
Parking is free and available at Burgoyne’s Retreat during both the ceremony and reception.
Free Lyft rides between downtown Saratoga and Burgoyne’s Retreat are available for guests. Contact Tom or Alex directly for details.
Attire
Semi-formal attire is recommended for wedding festivities.
Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors on grass.
Rain or shine, the reception will take place in an enclosed tent.
Celebration
After-ceremony festivities include a cocktail hour and evening reception filled with dinner, drinks, and dancing.
Join us the following morning for a post-wedding brunch courtesy of the bride and groom at the Inn at Saratoga.
